Several shipping companies have recently issued notices of rate increases, with this surge primarily concentrated in regions such as North America, Europe, and the Mediterranean. Certain routes have seen price increases nearing 70%.
This wave of collective rate adjustments is driven by ongoing Red Sea disruptions, active inventory restocking in the West, and the trans-Atlantic long-term contract season in April and May.
